NATIONAL CUP RESULTS & UPDATED DRAWS

SFAI National Cup was the order of play for the last 2 weekends with the usual ups and downs for local clubs. First up were the even ages last Saturday week and in the U12 Section Holycross had a fabulous 3-0 win over Limerick District side Newport Town while Croom won the local clash against Kilfrush 3-1. Murroe were undone 1-0 by Kerry Side Tralee Dynamoes in Murroe while Pallas and Kilmallock also beaten by Kerry sides in St Brendans Park and Killorglin respectively. Pallas in particular very unlucky losing by the odd goal in 5 away to a strong St Brendans Park side. Round 2 Fixtures see Holy cross travel to Clodaigh Rgrs, Croom host Aisling B and Charleville at home to Connolly Celtic/Birdhill.

In the U14's there were wins for Galbally 6-0 away to Mungret and Charleville on pens after a 1-1 draw away to Fairview Rangers. Two Fabulous wins against Limerick District Premier teams. Murroe had no luck away to Ennis Town while Holycross fell to a very strong Aisling team and Herbertstown beaten by BT Harps. Kilfrush and Kilmallock to play in a local clash in round 1. Round 2 Fixtures see Charleville host Ballingarry and Kilfrush/Kilmallock travel to Summerville. Galbally await the winners of Broadford/Newcastlewest/Abbeyfeale.

U16's saw only one game for local teams where Cappamore lost 2-0 at Killarney Celtic. Round 2 fixtures Killorglin v Charleville Avenue Utd host Kilfrush and Holycross travel to Newport Town.

Last weekend saw the odd ages take part and in the U13's Kilfrush had a big win away to Croom. Herbertstown were beaten at home by Pike Rovers, Charleville were undone by a last minute goal to Killorglin while Holycross were also beaten by another Kerry side in Mastergeeha. Pallas came up against a very strong Iveragh(Caherciveen) while Knockainey and Fairview are yet to play. Round 2 fixtures see Kilfrush host Camp Juniors of Kerry Limerick FC at home to Murroe. Knockainey/Fairview v Pike.

Finally in U15s Cappamore had a fine 7-3 win over Ennis Town B in Round 1 while in Round 2 Charleville had a super 4-1 away win to Avenue Utd of Clare. Holycross beat Killavilla 1-0 while there was disappointment for Knockainey away to Killorglin and Kilmallock lost at home to Ailsing. Fairview still to host Herbertstown. Round 2 Fixtures see Cappamore travel to Newmarket Celtic, Kilbehenny to Corbally, Charleville to Nenagh and Holycross at home to Newcastlewest Town.
